
I also did find myself becoming so attached to these characters especially 2/3 of the way into the book since they do go through a lot of hardships and you can’t help but feel for them. The weird paranormal occurrences had me completely curious and I wanted to know more. I also enjoyed the tremendous amounts of creepiness and mystery within this planet since is had me completely captivated. The relationship between the characters grew steadily from friendship to respect and finally a deep love and understanding of one another.

I was also quite thankful that there was no insta love in this novel. This novel is a young adult survival story but it is written in a way that we as readers would completely immerse ourselves within this strange world and also end up connecting with the characters. Like seriously guys, there were moments were I need a hug lol: This book definitely had a variety of scenes, some of which were hilarious and others which were achingly beautiful that it tugged on your heartstrings. There were strange occurrences which took place on the planet and this mystery peaked my curiosity and because of this, I couldn’t stop reading. This is a slow moving novel because it deals with survival however, it never once got dull. Everything flowed cohesively and the two points of view were clear distinct voices.

Although this story is written by two authors, I never once felt a shift in writing style. Written in dual perspective, These Broken Stars is about two main characters, Lilac LaRoux, daughter of the richest man in the universe, and Tarver Merendsen, a young war hero, who crash land on a mysterious planet and journey across the eerie, strange terrain in hopes of finding rescue.
